Beware of high Landing fees
Recently due to weather on a trip to Key west (EWY) I had to divert to Marathon (MTH) . When I landed and refueled I was charged besides the fuel expense a facility fee of $50.00 even thgough I took gas top off . The facility fee was larger than my Fuel charge . I am flying a DA 42 Diamons twin star which is a small GA airplane . I had refused to pay the charge because it was unwarranted . I complaint to the airport authority and all of the public officials but they never bothered to respond . AIR NAV makes no mention of this outrageous charge . I am submitting this to all pilots to beware from going to Marathon MTH they are ambushing the unsuspected pilot . Avoid MTH at all times .
